Firewood Delivery NY process raw materials that come in various sizes and lengths, therefore yield an end firewood product that may have similar inconsistencies in size and length. We do our best to create a product that is suitable for all uses; such as outdoor fireplaces, fire pits, indoor fireplaces, stoves, wood boilers, fireplace inserts and pizza ovens. Some customers are perfectly happy with the size cut of the pieces and other customers view some of the pieces as too small or too large. All firewood deliveries will have a mix of various sized pieces, therefore if you prefer smaller pieces, there may be some pieces that you would have to re-split. We do not offer “double split” wood and all wood is loaded onto delivery vehicles completely random. All firewood is stored outdoors, uncovered and is susceptible to the elements. If it rains or snows prior to receiving a firewood delivery, then the firewood will come wet. Seasoned and Semi-seasoned firewood is not sold by moisture content and may need approximately 2-3 weeks of being stacked on your property to be able to burn well depending on the amount of rain in the prior months. It may also come somewhat ‘dirty’. This is due to the dust becoming wet and then sticking to the wood creating a light film on the pieces. It is recommended to purchase your firewood at least a month prior to running out, especially during the winter.
